Bienvenue!

Welcome to my new blog.

I am moving to Montreal in a few days and I have decided to chronicle some of the happenings of my "new" life. These happenings may be funny (weird and ha-ha), interesting, cultural, linguistic and much, much more.

My new life also includes a new (and first) marriage (my husband is a native of the Quebec City region), a new job, and downsizing from a house I owned in NY state to a rental apartment.

My cat is moving with me too. (He doesn't speak French, but I do.)

What are you going to do in Montreal besides be a married woman?

  2. Hi Julie,
So you are heading north of the border. I am heading south. Just took a position at a small Waldorf school in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Fortunately, they are a bi-lingual school and want me to teach in English as well as mentor the teachers. I will have a 7th Grade.
Congratulations on your newfound love and life.

    Peace and Pro-vision,
    Gideon

  3. Julie, this is so awesome! SO happy for you on so many levels! I guess this answers my question of whether you'd be attending our 20th reunion this July...

  4. Thanks your comments. So my name and approximate age are out there already! I don't really have any big thing about anonymity, but I thought this sort of info would gradually come out...

Celia--I'll be teaching...maybe English, maybe 5th grade. Tell Rémi I said Hi. I'll post some pictures soon.

Gideon--Muy bien señor...I have very fond memories of our trip to Mexico--oh so many years ago. Congratulations on graduating your class and best to you in Mexico.

Lisa--Hey, I'll be there!! Still in SC?

  7. Julie,

I so wanted to pop right on when I received your blog - but my computer died. It is well now, and I can finally express my congratulations and wish you incredible joy on your journey. We (Zoe and I, and Tib and her girls) just returned from Portland for my son's wedding. Julie - there is such joy in the world. May you have your abundant share, overflowing with happiness. By the way, I love Montreal too. I am anxious to hear much more!!

    Love,
    Dan O.
